Angora goats are a fiber producing goat - their fiber is mohair. It's often referred to as the diamond fiber as it is very strong and has a high luster. Mohair grows 1/2 - 1 inch per month. We shear our goats every 6 months - once in spring and again in the fall.
Compared to dairy and meat breed goats, the angora is a very docile breed. They tend to need a bit more attention when it comes to nutrition and care because their fiber requires more groceries to grow.
